I rented a 'studio' with a 'shared' kitchen/living room from this slumlord outfit in 1992-1993. The woman who was the on-site manager took the ---- cake prize out of all the slumlords I've ever had.

She was rude, rude, rude. Nosy, stupid and belligerent. She and her whipped-dog husband would regularly enter people's apts when they weren't home. She didn't have a single clue about small-claims court law but freely threatened people with eviction whenever she felt like it.

The other tenants in my part of the complex were mostly retirees and they pretty much lived to cash their SSI checks and hit the liquor store. They would complain incessantly for crap like 'walking too loudly' esp. if they were hung over.

There was little sound insulation in the place, pets were forbidden, it was hotter than hell in the summer as most units did not have any sort of AC.

And the cars in the upper parking lots were regularly broken into while I was there.
