Decent place to live

I was there for 2.5 years and they were decent. After a year I moved into one of the upgraded apartments. It was a huge improvement from the older place but there were a lot of problems there. The appliances kept malfunctioning and the toilet attempted to overflow at least once a week. The maintenance staff were very helpful and arrived in a timely manner to address the issues. There was also a problem with ants in the kitchen and bathroom. During the spring there were winged ants all over the place. We were told that nothing can really be done about bugs though.
I loved the fitness center and would go there at least 4 days a week. My complaint is that the staff rarely fixed the broken machines and it would take them 4-5 months to get them fixed when they did. There was a dead treadmill in there for almost a year before they finally got rid of it.
There are some security issues. A neighbors car was broken into and some of the buildings will get tagged every once in a while. That was part of the reason I decided not to renew my lease... I didnt think it was very safe at night and i didnt want my car to get damaged or worse. Ive lived on both sides of the complex and the 690 side i feel is a lot safer than the 695 side. The other part was that we got some obnoxious neighbors that moved in and the noise was too much to handle. Such is apartment life though.
