I lived at The Vintage during the summer of 2005. The grounds are well cared for, the staff is friendly, the pool is wonderful and large, as is the jacuzzi. The area is very nice as well with a lake. During the spring and early summer months however bugs breading on the lake almost make living on the lake side unbearable. Many residents have put up screens to totally enclose the very spacious balconies that are found on most units. 2 and 3 BR units are very nice. I was in a 1 BR. Although very spacious for a 1 BR, its a rip-off what you don't get in a 1BR that the 2s and 3s do. There is almost NO storage space in a 1BR. There is a tiny linen closet about 24 inches wide but thats basically it.

I'm not too pleased about how they nickel and dime you for everything here. I'm staying 6 months and am paying $500 in non refundable deposits ($200 cleaning, $300 pet). Not only that, they charge you pet rent ($20), garages are too expensive ($80 I think), and they don't unlock the pool area on time most days.

The units are poorly constructed for high-end apartments. I lived on the 2nd floor and it was like living underneath a bowling alley. You always know what room the upstairs neighbors are in as you can hear their every footstep. Doors to the balconies SLAM closed and the screaming kids on nice days and weekends is enough to drive you up a wall. Otherwise, its a very quiet place, absolutely no traffic noise, (unless you live in a building on the street).

Parking is getting worse by the week, theres no assigned parking and no parking stickers so anybody parks here. I rarely see people using garages, probably because they are a ripoff.
