We stumbled upon this complex accidentally after moving from California. The complex is beautiful and comes with a pool, hot tub, sauna and exercise room which is standard for all complexes. The staff seemed very friendly at first after we signed our rental agreement and gave them our deposit. Our deposit consisted of rent for 2 bedrooms, 2 cats and a garage for storage. Since we did not sign up for a 6 month lease, they asked for an additional $100 each month which we agreed too. Upon giving our 30 day notice, we were then notified that they had made a bookkeeping error and that we owed them money for one of our cats. We also were notified by a "note" taped to our garage, which we never frequent as we use it for storage only, telling us that they were going to sell everything in it unless we paid our storage bill. OUR STORAGE FEE IS INCLUDED IN OUR MONTHLY RENT!!!! Helloooo.


After confronting them and demanding an explanation, they said it was another bookkeeping error on their part and never bothered to apologize. We are and have been very good tenants who have always paid on time, never caused any problems and always adhered to their rules. But, to be treated like this was beyond our comprehension. Among other things, we have lived here 3 months now and they still haven?t gotten around to fixing our alarm system which we had called on 3 times now. They also seem to have a major problem with "keys." They never seem to fit anything they?re suppossed to fit. Last but not least, we referred 2 additional tenants to this complex with the promise from management that a $100.00 fee would be credited to us for each new tenant, thus making it a total of $200.00 which we have yet seen even after inquiring about it. They never return calls and when you go down to the office and inquire about anything, you get greeted with nastiness and hostility. I will never refer this rental complex to anyone and regret having done so already as I don?t expect to get the $200.00 they owe me along with additional monies due to their "bookkeeping" errors. I can only tell you that upon leaving, I will have nothing but problems in trying to get any monies due me without having to take legal action.

One last note: Brandon,Christina and Fernando, who are part of the Vista West staff, are the most courteous and helpful.
