Didn't we bother to check out what people were saying before we moved' Well - we didn't have the time, actually, but I rue that fact. Our advice' DON'T MOVE IN HERE.

Let's start with day one. Moved in, the place hadn't been cleaned as it was promised to be. Left our stuff. Went to work. Came back 8 HOURS later to find the place crawling with roaches. Called their after hours line and got told we had to hire our OWN exterminator. Locked up and left. Came back at 10 the next morning to find our place had been broken into, and over $2000 worth of stuff stolen (mainly computers). Office said they couldn't do ANYTHING because we didn't have renter's insurance. We'd been there less than a day....

We get told we can move into another building and another townhouse, which is smaller than the one we first paid for, and that move in date was supposed to be that Sunday. It was pushed back, TWICE, until Friday. Not a big deal. They were replacing carpet, tile, and shower. Well we moved in and the shower WASNT DONE being installed. Had to wait another day for it to be finished, which meant risking our things again. When we got home we found the shower missing it's knob to turn on the water. It took them TWO WEEKS, read that as TWO WHOLE WEEKS, to replace the stupid knob on the shower.

Two days later we turn on the shower and find it drops the water onto our kitchen floor. Two days and six calls later they tell us their maintenance people are at Home Depot getting the parts. I saw no signs of them coming INTO the apartment to look at what was going on, and our ceiling is about to cave in over our fridge. EDIT: Five o'clock came and went and NO ONE showed up to fix the place.

We also have no screen windows in the kitchen, the screen door on the sliding doors doesn't fit, among a few other issues that have yet to be addressed that we gave them on day one. Sherry was nothing but mean to us when an old old eviction came up on our rent application - the other applicant had taken her old roomies to court over it and it hadn't shown up on any other rent application we've had, so we didn't tell her about it. It showed and Sherry lectured us for a good ten minutes on the reasons why lying to her was bad, and that we were bad people for not telling her ahead of time and that if we didn't get this taken care of we'd be punished to the full extent of the law.

She treated us like we were five - with no respect what-so-ever. And also she claimed we messed up the first townhouse by spilling rice all over the carpet and grounding it in. We had dumped our food into a garbage bag, in the kitchen, and taken it out the FRONT door to the dumpster. The bag wasn't leaking rice, or anything else, onto the floor, nor did it cross the living room carpet at any point in time. And we get told we're trashing the place' You've got to be kidding me.

Other things of note:

- There are cops here at least once to twice a day, and not for patrols.

- no one follows the one way rules of the drive way, and habitually park in other peoples spots.

- Staff gets short with you if you call multiple times on a problem that hasn't been resolved.

So in short, moving is crap. Don't do it.
