At first i liked it, then they changed management and i can't stand it anymore! they treat you like damned criminals and will never tell you the truth no matter what it is! we were having issues with a roommate and every one of us went in to talk to them and they gave every one of us a different story. they dont base things on rational business decisions, they base it on who they like the most. the owner never remembers a damn thing you tell her, and they will always try to get money from you for anything! one of my friends moved out 2 months ago and was due a 400 dollar refund, instead she got a bill for 20 bucks!!! this place sucks, and i am thinking about reporting them to the bbb. almost every student i know here wants to file a lawsuit of some kind against them.
oh and they told me i could park both my cars here and then changed their minds! both my vehicles have been broken into when parked on the street- yet they now wont let me park inside!!! they refuse to plow a bunch of spots and say "too bad, park outside". this place sucks!

You should read Tenant's Remedies in the Nevada Revised Statues, NRS Codes 118A 320 to ll8A 520. Just put, "Nevada Tenants Remedies" directly into your search engine. They cannot charge you for normal wear and tear in an apartment, and most carpet and paint is cheap and will only last around three years. Some carpet is destined to get holes, because it is so cheap, or it frays. This is calculated short time wear and tear, and on purpose by management and owners.
The Better Business Bureau will do nothing. Your landlord will only laugh at you, if you bring up the Better Business Bureau, because they won't enforce your rights. Always take pictures of the walls, carpet, and bath when you first rent with a cheap box camera, label and date it. Always completely scrutinize your lease agreement with Nevada Revised Statutes, in Landlord Tenant's rights, and the NRS Codes above. Let them take you to small claims court and pay. Most judges will rule in favor of the tenant, but they hope they can intimidate you with small claims court.
I kind of got that feeling. If they like you, maybe the maintenance staff is a man, and a woman writing that great "Johnny on the Spot Review," she gets everything done, But, and every single tenant has legal rights and remedies, notjust the one's they like. Most small claims court judges rule in favor of the tenant. In Nevada, if they do not remedy what they have to in the above NRS Codes in two weeks, you can terminate your lease agreement, so be sure to read the laws and understand them. Nevada laws are the easiest to understand.
Good Luck. All education isn't at school.
Renting is becoming more and more of a racket. Property managers go to seminars to learn how to manipulate tenants. If you move to a different state, read the laws. Arnold Schwarzenneger, in California, has done some wonderful improvments to renter's rights, there.
