I will never live in such an un organized, unethical, lying, too-faced management and unprofessional owners again. I decided to renew my lease when I was pushed by management to, or I would loose my room they always used scare tatics. This was back in December, how does some one know during mid-terms if they want to renew or not. After experiencing a change in management it went down hill. The owners are the same -------- as always, and the help is getting worse. The entire house I was living in we decided after many confrontations, fines, my tires slashed we decided to get a house together. After moving out we all received bills for $500 ( painting, carpet replacement and cleaning.) The carpet was old when we moved in, we were promised paint, never happened and the place was some what cleaned when we moved in. If you want your kids to get an education and live hassel free have them rent a small studio or house that has no affilation with this company. Also rent some where, that the owners and staff do not have criminal backgrounds or murders.

you are right. Call the Washoe County Tax Assessors. They will ask you commercial or residential, and say commercial. Then ask the human being, who owns the property, by giving them the address. They will tell you exactly who owns the complex, or the corporation that owns the complex. Also, be aware of tenant's rights in Nevada Law, NRS Codes, ll8A 320 thru ll8A 520. You can also access these very quickly by putting, "Nevada Tenant Remedies" into your search engine.
You cannot be charged for normal wear and tear, in Nevada. If you have moved, know next time to have a cheap box camera labeled when you move in and when you leave, of the carpets, walls, and so-called damage.
It is often a racket to get the carpet and paint paid for by the last tenant, because they are trying very hard for you to pick up their cost of doing business, when you didn't get new carpets, but they know these cheap carpets last only several years, and they rip them out periodically and paint, so that they can automatically raise the rent on the new tenant.
The majority of small claims court judges rule on the side of the tenant.
I think these complexes enjoy it, when a parent co-signs, and lives out of state, and the kids don't take pictures of the aparment upon renting and leaving. Billing a parent states a way is a gleeful shoe in for these landlords, who know by the time the parent gets there to investigate, remodeling has begun.
They go to income property owner seminars to learn how to manipulate you, so fight back...
