I have lived here for about six years. The places are rediculiously tiny but the price was right. I was lucky....I got into one of the good buildings, and after waiting a year on the original lease...was able to get into one of the few two bedroom apartments...so it all worked out. The old staff were extreemly friendly, and it was a decent (not great) community to live in. Then after the first of the year, new management took over and all hell broke loose. The first big tragedy happened when the first major snow storm hit in febuary.....the walkways and the back parking lot were covered under a foot of snow....all weekend!!! then when monday morning came...they got around to plowing after 4 pm. They hiked up all of the prices in the laundry facilities to nearly $2.00 and now they do not maintain the upkeep of those machines...the dryer closest to my apartment has been broken for nearly two months. The office hours are sporatic at best and are never predictable. Indeed, event the rent has to be mailed in now to some PO box off site.

Then august rolled around and I knew what was comming, being new management I knew that there would be a significant rent increase...but what I was not expecting is a $250.00 increase!!!! Wow. The owner is not seeing that the apartments are not worth it for the square footage of the apartment...for starters. Plus the service is really bad here...but sometimes that can be a relative thing I suppose. I will say though, my neighbor across the hall moved in reccently and I was surprised to find that she was paying what I was paying for my old rent...and her apartment was only 3/4 the size of my livingroom, and was literally the size of a large walk in closet.

the only up side of the whole scenario is that they are now includding free cable and wireless internet access with your rent...which just blew my mind...but the mere 100 dollars in freebies did not make up for the poor living conditions nor the astronomical rent increase.
