I have lived in the building for sometime, and have not moved b/c the rent was cheap and the view is breath taking. However!!!!!! The management is horrible. Jackie is very unresponsive to tenant needs, she always miscalculates how much tenants need to pay, and sends rude letters threatening to evict people, even when there has been NO violations. I have walked into the hallway on several occasions and seen vomit, spit on the elevator floor, gum on the walls and trash strewn along the carpet. Security guards are changed weekly and one even attempted to enter my apartment when he was not invited. Not to mention, the drug dealers that just moved in next door!!!! It is a shame that such a beautiful building has to be managed by such incompetence. They never follow up on maintenance requests or other issues that arise. They have recently hired two young women who help at the front desk who are very respectful, but what good does that do when you have an incompetent mess directing the office at the top. The only guys who appear to work are the gentlemen who clean the building in the morning. Do yourself a favor and get a cheaper rent at Robinson Square apartments in down town Albany.

I agree with you. You really get what you paid for. I used to live there and now live in an apartment where the rent is considered "expensive" but where I now live is worth every penny. I can actually hear the birds chirping and not people fighting and cursing... I think of it this way- I am paying extra for piece of mind and security. What good is it paying cheap rent yet you are living in those conditions.
