In terms of apartment communities in the cap region the only plus for this one is they allow pets, and it's in an extremely good neighborhood.
The rooms are tiny, 2 people cannot stand comfortably in the kitchen, there is room in the 2nd bedroom for a bed and dresser (if you have a twin bed in there)
The AC and heating units are not routinely maintained, the AC leaks all the time in the basement.
The office staff have slightly improved their manner in talking to tenants but basically they ignore complaints.
Maintenance staff are wonderful people but given nothing to work with. Standards are low, there have been no upgrades despite rising rents.
When a new company bought DCG's properties they jacked rents significantly with promises of improvements, the work has been shoddy, almost all trees were removed recently leaving desolate and ugly looking yards. They did some work on the front steps and overhands but it is shoddy and falling apart (basically plastic material dropped over existing rotting posts.
They are also renting out several units to some type of transitional housing program so I get new neighbors every few months, everyone has to live somewhere right' That's how I basically feel but now I have people yelling up at the windows to open the door, police looking for someone all the time and picking the wrong door... staff coming and going all day and the tenants coming and going all night loudly.
We will not be renewing the lease when this one ends
