For the first time since moving here my rent is not being raised. The one thing crestwood has going for it is location. This is a VERY safe area, zoned for one of the few decent public elementary schools, surrounded by houses of worship, decently nearby shopping, and services, and many homeowners who have been in the area a LONG time.

When you want to live in Albany rather than commute it can be hard to find a good rental community in a safe place that allows pets.

Maintenance here is terrible, the main man is a nice guy, works hard and responds to requests but he's hampered by limits on materials. Fairly often work requests are ignored by management, so I really don't bother to ask them to fix things anymore.

The central air does not work well, and leaks all over, and the heating systems are not maintained unless their biannual inspection is due.

The office employees are the worst. Snotty women with horrible attitudes who often act like they are doing you a favor even talking to you.

Your questions about claims that funds are owed will not be answered, and they do NOT keep good records, they put nothing in writing outside of your lease, so keep copies of every check and request.. do nothing verbally. We're sticking around for another year because we're close to having the downpayment for a house ready.. but if I was going to continue renting longt term we'd be out of here.

They currently charge about $15 for pet rent, (plus a pet deposit) and $15 for water (that was new recently)
