I have a month left on my lease and am counting down the days. My stay at loudon arms was not a comfortable one. Major problems included the parking, heat, and noise.

Parking-there simply is not enough parking spaces to accomodate all tenants. There were nights when people would park on the sidewalk or grass. Also, during my stay i purchased a brand new car which was hit by someone trying to parallel park on the hill (across from stewarts). There were a lot of nights I had to walk a far distance to get to my apartment. It really was an issue especially in the winter or when i had gone grocery shopping.

Heat- Wow, my apartment was hot during the winter. I had my windows open all winter to cool down. It was still unfomfortable even with the windows open! It was very annoying because I would be sweating all the time. Also I was very sick all winter with sinus infections. I think they were caused by the heat. I never had one till i lived at Loudon Arms.

Noise- Sooo noisy. The traffic on Albany Shaker road is bad. At night there is constantly motorcycles and big loud trucks going up and down the hill. The traffic noise is bad during rush hour times as well. Also, another big problem is the noise that comes from people going in and out of the building. Just imagine watching tv and trying to relax and having to hear people enter the building, slam the front door, trudge up the stairs, and then slam the door to their apartments. Very annoying!!

Some various small problems were the carpenter ants/centipedes and water pipes.

Insect problems- In the spring I had a carpenter ant infestation. They were everywhere. I called the office and maintenance came in and sprayed a pet safe spray that pretty much eliminated the problem. There were a few here and there after. Ohh, every once in a while I would see a centipede! Scary.

Water- I'm assuming the water pipes are very old. Every time I would turn the water on rust colored water would come out for a few seconds. Also, I had problems with water pressure when I first moved in. It was finally fixed after several calls to maintenace. Towards the end of my stay the water pipes actually started to shake violently when i turned on the hot water. It was very loud and would actually make the bathroom light flicker.

I know this is a terrible review so Im going to mention some positives...

-The apartment is located right near I90 and 787. Makes it easier to get to where your going.
-Right near Stewarts.
-Pool is decent.
-Brand new washers and dryers (just put in May 08)

Overall, this apartment complex was not that good in my opinion. It might be better for college students or people that are never home. I hope this review was helpful:)
