I looked at 9 complexes in person before deciding to move in here a year ago. I don't have any complaints beside the exercise room issues. Yes, they are really slow to repair the bikes or treadmills when they break down (which is often) but from what I've heard, that's a problem at every apartment complex. For apartments in the price range, you get some amazing space here. In our one-bedroom we have two walk-in closets, two bedroom closets, a linen closet, and a storage closet, not to mention the storage space in the basement. The bedroom is huge, I just wish the kitchen had more room to walk around in. Downtown Albany is just a short trip down Broadway and there's a lot of stuff within walking distance. Someone else complained about streetlights being out, but I've never seen that. It's always light outside, which I can appreciate being on the more robber-friendly floor level.
Someone also complained about the hot water being too hot. Honestly, it takes a minute to work its way up, but it can get *very* hot. I happen to love it because this means I can make tea INSTANTLY. Pretty cool, I think. The buildings are all pretty new, so there are a lot of electrical outlets (more than you'll ever need). I literally never hear my neighbors. It's so quiet here, I almost wish there was more noise. Maintenance has always responded the same day we've called about a problem. I don't have any compliants about management, probably because I've never had any reason to talk to them.
