I will be moving to Albany next month. So, this past week I and my wife went on a house hunting trip and the following review is based only on my tour experience.

The place is in no way worthy of being called 'designer residence'. It is ill-maintained and has a very depressing atmosphere. Apartments are clean but not odour-free! Buidling complex is located right next to a small shopping area, so good thing is one does not need to go shopping very far but bad thing is lack of good landscape. Also, not sure if this applies to all the units, but for the one that was shown to us (a 2BR), tenants either need their own washer-dryer unit or go half-a-mile to a coin-laundry.

Over all: 2 out of 5! FYI, I have also reviewed a few other apartments in Albany area that we had visted.

I lived there for 7years until 2006 summer. I still miss that place. I admit it doesn't have nice landscaping as like other rural feel apartment complex. It is more urban feel. It has only two 6 story buildings. However most of apartment has their own unique floor plan.Never the same. Also I want to comment about small shopping area-he called- right next apartment. That is the Grocery store you should go at least every week. Price Chopper is the leading grocery store in that area. When the weather is allowed, you can bring your grocery cart right into your front door. You don't have to load or unload to your car. This apartment has even nice designed elevator. Very convenient location allows you to access I-87, I-90 two main highways easily. Also Huge shopping mall"Crossgate mall" is right across the street. Maybe you can walk there within 15 mins. I really enjoy the pool during summer. You just take the elevator and come down and enjoy just like hotel or resort. They have flat floor plan and bi level floor plan from 1 to 4 bedrooms. some house has a fire place. You cannot find this kind contemporary looking place in Albany. Only my complaint is the big electric bill for heating during winter, Albany is burrrr, you know. Ah! I forgot about the washer and dryer hook up. You don't have to go to laundry facility because you have your own at your place. If you have a children, you definetely appreciate for this.
