I have to admit I was relocated back upstate and needed a place to stay. Luckily I was looking at other places while living here. I could not believe how run down this place was for the $$ spent in rent. I had problems with ants. Management was no help....So I put out traps on my own and did my own spraying. It worked....for a little while. The couple neighbors I had were older and great to spend time with. Most of the people here are trash. Those that want to live in a clean place seem to be the only ones who are complaining and nothing gets done. I guess management knows that the majority of people there....dont care where they live or the conditions they live in.

I moved to saratoga county and live in a brand new lux apartment complex....double the rent...but so well worth it. this is how apartment living should be! no bugs, private attached garages, very nice neighbors!

Best of luck to those still living there.

PS- the comment about the office staff entering info on here (positive) is true. A friend of mines sister works in the office and it slipped out that she was doing that.

Well I have to disagree with everything you said. I live hear and I psot positive because it is a great place to live. I have been hear over 13 years and never had a problem with maintenance staff or the office staff in getting things done. So you moved to Saratoga good luck with your commute and the price of gas you deseve it.

best of luck to you.I lived at Woodlake 5 years and initially loved it until I noticed open dumpsters, people propping them open as they must have 10 bags of trash to take out all at once. I complained at least 100 times about it and often had to stand on a chair and shut it with a broom or snow shovel as the cover would get stuck in the tree.Seems no one cares about rats, maggots etc.And although i left abroomoutside my door I am th eonly one who ever swept the entrance, althoug the other tenats always thanked me for keeping the entrance so nice. They must think I work there or maybe they don't know how to use a broom.Yes it sems the scum of the earth has moved in. Woodlake likes them as their expectations are low. I did love the other aspects, the fountains, the landscaping and the design of the apartments. I moved this weekend to a much more upscale apartment a well. This complex even has a newsletter for the tenants. That would have been the perfect place to appeal to my neighbors about shutting the covers on the dumpster. I wrote the posts on the aluminum wiring and it is all true. As I felt sad about moving out I spoke with the upstairs tenant about the wiring and he told me an arc shot out of his baseboard heater in the winter. So there Woodlake staff if you are reading, I am not crazy. A REAL FIRE TRAP!

The cost of gas is not a problem....I am lucky enough to be able to afford it! Saratoga is well worth the commute and $$$ spent. 13 years of living there....we obviously have different views of quality living. I agree with the last post.... people there have low expectations!!!!
