I've lived in Woodlake (w/ my girlfriend)for over 3 years now, and overall, it's been a great experience. The rent is a bit high, but definitely well worth it. There are many options to choose from (we went w/o the fireplace and lake view, especially since the lake is a minute walk from our apartment). The apartments are a bit old (inside and out), and look like a 1970s camp, but are large and well-lit (many windows!). Also, they allow cats (but add a pet-fee, which is a bit pricey).

The maintenance staff is great, they take care of problems ASAP and are always friendly. The office staff is nice too (haven't had many problems, so haven't had to deal w/ them much). Parking is fantastic, we always have available parking directly in front of our apartment (even for guests).

Woodlake is very well landscaped, especially in the nice weather (though it looks pretty w/ snow as well). The maintenance staff also does a great job plowing (even plowing around cars). Woodlake is off the main road, but it's right by Crossgates and Colonie Center, and only a minute from I-87 & I-90 (so it's well located). I'd defintely recommend Woodlake Apartments.

Funny how all positive reviews took place from 11/20 to 11/20. Looks like Tri City Rentals, who owns Woodlake, can't find anyone to rent here. Those who have looked at page two of the ratings with opinions by real renters must have had an impact on the decrease of renters. now now ladies in the rental office...i am sure you have more work to do, such as insulating the building or having it up to fire code than sit online and submit false reviews of the apartments because you cannot get anyone in their right mind to rent here. Pleas any potential renters take 5 minutes and READ ALL OF THE REVIEWS. Beware before you sign the lease! Ask about the fire and how woodlake refused to pay for damages even though they were at fault. read about the maintenance men/man who have criminal records. read everything! I sure wish I did before i signed my life away on the lease.

Dude, I was actually going to put up a review anyway... I noticed this site after I started looking for a new apartment (I have to move b/c of a new job), the possible $250 was just gravy. I don't know why there's these 2 anonymous people who seem to constantly write their own scathing reviews and comment on other positive reviews of woodlake. If you lived here (I doubt it) then you're entitled to you own opinion. But the vast majority of people like living in Woodlake, b/c it's a nice place.
