When we moved here, the complex was known as The Alexan. Now it is called Atlantic Point. The apartments are nice - new, bright, washer/dryers, large walk-in closets, garages. But they aren't made to the best of standards which we've come to see over the 1 1/2 yrs we've been here. A bit drafty and some minor things here and there athat have been fixed. The vent for the heat and A/C is a bit loud. Since the Atlantic Point people have taken over, it seems a bit slow to get something fixed. When it was the Alexan things were fixed the day you called (in my experience). One thing that ticked me off is that the guy from the office that showed us the apartment said that the landfill wasn't used anymore. That's a lie. Horseblock road is always full of dump trucks driving to the landfill. This is suppossed to be a "Gated Community," but the gates have been closed maybe a total of 7 days. The pools are nice. My husband has used the gym once and said it was okay - but prefers to go to his health club. We're on an end of a unit and I've never had a problem with noise from my neighbor. You have to take your own garbage to one of 2 dumpsters. There are dirt bike trails very close by and in the summer it gets pretty loud and annoying. Grucci fireworks are just down the road and every now and then fireworks are going off. If I didn't have young children I wouldn't care, but they have woken up from the noise. In my experience wherever we have lived - there seems to be annoying things, so I don't ever expect to find the perfect place on our budget. Overall - it's a nice apartment, but not luxury. If the gates were consistently closed and the management more efficient (like when it was the Alexan) I would recommend this complex.
