Atlantic Point at first view is a stunning place. The landscaping is nice at first glance. The homes are well kept at first glance. After residing w/ Atlantic Point for a year many perks advertised has changed. There was a security patrol when I first arrived, however that has since disappeared. The security gates were adverstised as a security perk. However, the gates have never worked. The response time for issues w/ items needing to be fixed or repaired is unsatisfactory. The gym/basketball court was especially a perk in my opinion, however there are many restrictions if for your child or you (adult) to use the gym.

Dear Resident: First, thank you for your review. Everyone has different opinions and we at Atlantic Point respect yours. I would like to address all of your issues. 1- The security patrol we had was a pilot program that unfortunately did not work out. We tried several companies and unfortunately they all failed. This is why we removed the service. We tried something unique to apartment living on Long Island and it did not work out. We apologize. 2- The gates have been non-operational for some time now. After repeated destruction by residents and visitors, the internal wiring was destroyed beyond repair. It took over 4 months just to diagnose the issues, and now we have contracted with a firm to reinstall the gates. This process should be complete by the end of June. 3- Your disatisfaction with our maintenance staff bothers me, because we have the best maintenance staff in the industry. If we were at fault in any way, we do apologize, however please come see someone at the office and we will correct the problems. 4- The "restrictions" that you state to use the facilities are simply necessary and you will find this with any apartment complex, in any location. Why should non-residents use the equipment YOU pay for? To access the fitness center, you need a key fob that we assign you when you move in. To use the basketball court, you need the same key fob, however you need to make a reservation to use the court. We do not "restrict" residents in any way. We only "restrict" access to non-residents. Doesnt this make sense? |
