This place is an absolute dump. Okay, okay...the apartments are big, the building are nice (structurewise) but this place is an absolute DUMP. My mother still ives there - I often question why she is still there. yes, the rent as they now call it is reasonable. BUT, the quality of people are HORRIBLE. I don't care what the other persn says about neighborhoods changing, this is a DRASTIC change. When I was young and we moved in the quality of families were great. They were all working people with good children, morals and values. I am NOT saying the people that move in now aren't - but please look at this. Co-op is an expensive project! When people found out we lived in here they would look at us like whow...they are really living. Now they look at my mother like "poor thing she spent all her money on her daughter's college education". My mother says she will stay until retirement b/c she is leaving NY after that. No need to leave NY just the unsafe haven. They've moved all these lower class bums in and they are so happy to have a better quality of life that they sell drugs in front of the buildings, kill, harm and anything else they want. THIS IS GOOD LIVING, HUH'' I KNOW YOU ARE JEALOUS. I NEVER heard a gunshot other than on tv when I was young, now I come to visit to see these street punks standing in front of the bldg, they assume they are scaring me, just because Security is afraid, I am NOT. Get a grip co-operators, look at what they are doing to you - no new windows, they couldn't complete the elevator repairs and they can't fix the garage b/c they are being robbed blind by the management. Instead of acting like you don't see it band together and fight it. THIS IS GREAT IF YOU JUST GOT OUT OF JAIL BECAUSE THEY WILL HELP FINANCE YOUR DOWN PAYMENT. ALSO IF YOU ARE ON CRACK MOVE HERE - THERE ARE ENOUGH SUPPLIERS. ARE YOU TRIGGER HAPPY THIS IS FOR YOU!!

i agree with you this place is a disaster, i lived here over 20 years tried to move to another section and they gave me a hard time. but they will let people move in from off the street, can't wait to leave hell

This place is a three ring circus and is not a great place to live check these morons out they are proud of this crap: http://www.myspace.com/coopcitytheopshop this is what you have to live with. Now if this is your thing so be it but I can tell you I don't want to live around people who aspire to do what these pictures portray.
