Hello,
I Lived in Co-op City for 7 years of my life.I went to Truman High School.Co-op City Is not the place it once was even years ago It was not the way it is now and People, that lived there 30yrs ago can say that the place is nothing now.Co-op City was made for only middle class working families. However the last 20 years says something else.I see Hoodlums on the streets people from the projects get in through sublets.Section eight being allowed.I live westchester now.

It may be much more to live here but worth every penney.I don't see hoodlums and I don't have to deal with the crap that took over lovely co-op city. It's a shame, my mom owns a co-op there and wants to give it to me she also lives in westchester I refused because I want nothing to do with Co-op until they get rid of the lower Class residents.I sound harsh and cruel but it's a shame the way that palce has become.

I live in co op city, and judging buy your language the apple has not fallen far from the tree, it is true that a certain element has brought the quality of life here down, to be bind to that elucidates where you belong in society, I will leave this beautiful apartment to buy an over priced house somewhere my pretty wife can walk home w/out being harassed and I do not have to walk out into a cloud of pot smoke by the back door where I park my car.

Hey I live in Westchester a retired Marine and that is harsh coming from someone who can barely spell. If you are so much upper class why are you living in Westchester. Move to the city and pay 11,000 per month for a penthouse. You can't can you. Now who is the lower class.

You sound like a supeficial, bogus, shallow individual. They persecuted our savior for what some considered consorting with those of lower status in life. Who the H"ll are you to elevate yourself so high while belittling and stereotyping the residents of Co-op City. My wish for you is that you will be judged on your Judgement day as you now judge others. The fact is that Co-op City is one of the last affordable housing Co-ops in the Bronx. When Co-op City goes on the open market, may it be your loss, as the your absence will certainly not be any loss to the hard working lower and middle income residents of Co-op City.

wow... what comedy, you got to be kidding. A fellow 'piece of crap' whom left co-op city, and moved to Westchester for a 'better life,' has the audacity to insult co-op residents (oops). Westchester/White Plains Have Public Housing and section 8 too. You sound both ignorant and illiterate. Stick to your native language because you are not speaking English. You mentioned that you LIVE IN WESTCHESTER but ... ...... ... you never mentioned if you lived in a house, apartment, or The Projects (not that I care).

Im shocked that everyone has jumped on you for speaking your mind...you have that right. I wonder if the hard working people in CC know that their neighbors are homeless families from shelters and people that are released from prision programs...I know a person who just moved in a 1BR and is in a work release program and the city is paying his rent. He might be a good person and needs a second chance but when you pay $12-15,000. for your apartment and $1200/mo rent, do you want a potential sex-offender as your neighbor? This is what I think this person means when he says lower class. I have working people in my building who make good money but their character is "lower class". When you throw garbage out your windows and get high in the staircase, I would think that is a lower class person, not your income range. Maybe if everyone voted and stuck together CC would be a much better place instead we allow management to mis-manage funds and charge us for their mistakes then bash someone who moves out for a better life. Go figure?????
