To me it is the very nice place to live i come from brooklyn were i was paying $1150 for a cramp 2 bedroom attic apartment in a very bad neighbor hood..
gun shots almost every night.
sense ive been in co-op city havnt heard one gun shot.
I mean bad stuff happens everywhere but in all the places i live in New York this is by far the cheapest for the space you get, to me is very quiet...parking is a hard but i find a spot every night when i get home just have to be patient some times..And to all the people who said its like a high class ghetto..you prob never lived in the ghetto..i have form Brownsvill to Bedstuy to me co-op city dont even come close to a ghetto...

Funny I have heard gunshots in Co-op City. It's not the worst place to live but not the best either.

HEY, TRY LIVING IN A NEW YORK CITY HOUSING APT. YOU DONT KNOW WHAT GHETTO IS TILL YOU LIVED HERE. YES ITS CHEAP BUT ITS NOT WORTH IT. NO PLACE IS PERFECT, I HAVE FRIENDS IN CO-OP. AND ILL BE MOVING ON UP TAKE IT FROM ME ITS A GAINT STEP..
