I have lived here for 33 years and if I had to describe this place as it is now it would be "Projects". There has been an incredible influx of Riff Raff, section 8 garbage and just uninterested people living here. They don't understand the concept of a cooperative. This is further evident with our "Professional Management" company. They are used to taking care of low income properties so they can't see the horrible conditions that we live with everyday.
Our maintenance staff are rude and ineffective.
The elevators, windows, garages, balconies are all in need of extensive repairs. The board just bickers amongst itself so that nothing gets accomplished. Our management company encourages the in-fighting to allow them to continue working here and doing nothing.

My opinion is that you must be crazy to move here... aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb

holy cow you have lived there 33 years? Amazing. Coop city was built as a place for new yorkers to hide while the rest of the city died. Now it's lost just like the rest of the city. WHy woudl anyone expect a place with people piled on top of each other like garbage to turn into anything but a getto? Burn it and re-build Freedomland
