I live in 1541 Metropolitan Avenue and have lived here for almost 5 years and I must say that this is the worst apartment I've ever lived in. I had a major rodent problem in my apartment for about 3 years and management kept telling me that they could not remove the radiator in order to close the holes, mind you I found a nest in my apartment of mice, I would catch about 5 everyday. I don't want to hear oh she must have lived like a pig, because that is not the case, I'm actually a really clean person so the problem was not due to not cleaning my apt. Every night before bed the dishes are cleaned and I don't even own a garbage can, because I rather throw my garbage down the chute on a daily basis. The reason for the mice were due to the rotting pipes and holes in my walls. Roaches - those were under control with the gel. But the frequent gun shots during the summer time is really bad, the marijuana smoking in broad day light in front of the complexes is bad and Security - well all of them are not bad, but make sure if you have pre teens or teens, do not count on security securing them, if anything they are trying to get with them. Oh and lets not forget the water pipes breaking at least 2 times a month. Last year I went 8 days without water in the bathroom until finally the dept of health started investigating. But, I must say the rent is cheap if thats the main factor. Oh and parking -- be prepared to sleep in your car.
