I've lived in a south condo for a little over a year, and so far the only complaint I have is the fact that I to pay to get an air conditioner installed. Should I be happy that I HAVE an air conditioner' Apparently so. But my rent is decent for the amount for NYC apartment I'm getting. P/T is good, while street parking results in my friends wanting me to GO visit them. Theres plenty of shopping and lots of nice people. Parkchester's "ghetto-meter" is still far, far under many other neighborhoods in the Bronx, especially those with lots of big buildings. Come on people, if you want something better save your money and move out of the city!
