I moved to Parkchester South in December of 2005. They looked nice and all but I was skeptical after hearing and reading certain publications. I have to say I've been pleasantly surprised. The area is clean and the community is diverse. Sure parking is a nightmare but if you can afford $150 a month for an indoor parking spot, you can rest easy. Besides everything is within reach from Banks, Laundromats, Restaurants, Supermarkets.. you name. They can use a nice gym like a Bally's or NYSC but that's about it. I totally recommend it.

Its funny how people expect paradise in NYC. Go away, go far away! Find paradise and stop the frustration of looking for it in NYC! ANY Part!

I live in parchester for thirteen years (1989-2002). I move to Florida looking for a better quality living for my children, but you never know what you've until you loose it. The flexibility of having everithing close to it and be able to work and get paid made the different comparable with Florida where you do not have life. I'm looking for two bedroom apart in parkchester, because I miss my neighborhood badly. Parkchester is the best, the movie theater,the shopping areas, the opportunity to ride the train, and a lot of other thing that you do not going to find nowhere outs.
