I have lived in Parkchester for five years and each and every time i go up for lease renewal they try to have me evicted!!! I have NEVER BEEN LATE on my RENT, my landlord obviously likes me if not year after year they wouldn't KEEP-ON RENEWING MY LEASE!!

First parkchester management decline 3 rental aplications (including my own)excuses were: don't make enough money, bad credit, not enough credit, don't want any more government programs. WELL!

I like parkchester and so i wemt to the human rights office, i went to the district attorneys office and i didn't leave until they contact parkchester via phone and in writing and in the end they contacted my now landlord and told them okay they could rent to me!!!

I will continue to pay my rent and keep my place of resident clean!

Parkchester as raise the income requirement to move in! They have raised hire than what they know most ------ and hispanic makes this way they can have an legal excuse not to rent to ------ & hispanic if that doesn't work, they blame it on the credit report and if thats okay then they blame it on criminal records...

(Don't most of our politians have criminal records including the daughter of our president of these united states)

... Parkchester as great commercial space, I tried renting the place where the "UNO CHICAGO GRILL RESTERAUNT" is, the company incharge of it wouldn't even meet with me (He is a jewish man) He ask me on the phone: where are you from' i replied i am an individual i do not repersent a company! he replied no, no! where are you form ...in which country were you born' i replied, I am a citizen of the usa! he replied...okay, where is your parents from' I ask him: can i please set up an appointment to come in and discuss the retail space he stated, it's very expensive...it cost $8,000 per month....I replied, is that alll, i thought it would have been twice that amount...when can i see the inside.....he said, what kind if business...I answered, high end shoes and bags for men and women imported from europe.

He then said i am sorry it's not for rent. I tried calling a week later, he didn't take the call.

A few days later my mother's jewish husband phoned him and suprize, suprize the space was available and not once did he ask him where he was from, not once!!! (That space was empty for years, when they found out that it was for me they said they didn't want a firs time business owner. Two years later they rented it to the people thats there now.

A jamaican restaurant on metroplitan which is black own had to send his white lawyer to broker the deal and than at the last minute (at the signing of the lease) the black owner pop-up and parkchester couldn't back-out....so thats how they beat parkchester at there racial games. (the black man had excellent credit in fact he is worth over 23-million usa$) and have restaurant all over the usa!

Anyway, Parkchester is an okay place to live, most of the neighbors will keep out of your business.

Final note, they didn't want India people here either but on the board they have and Indian man and he fight for all the ------- that are now living here in Parkchester and i think thats wonderful! And all the ------- are not good people but they are given a chance and it is the same i want for the black and hispanic people. (I saw and Indian Man in his 50's kicking a beautiful little Indian girl and all she was doing was walking too slow coming home from school she was about 7 years old.

The point is, they are good people and bad people in every race, every race.

Everyone will tell you Parchester South is better that the north...the reason for this! On the South side they got out most of the ------ and on the North-side They still have mostly black and hispanic and alot of them has some kind of government help. SO....they all say don't live on the north. And i am ashame to admit but i have heard it so often that i caught myself a few time saying the same. ( So, you see the sytem can make you even hate yourself)

Whomever you are give Parkchester a chance, and if you HAPPEN TO BE BLACK OR HISPANIC DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER....YOU FIGHT AND FIGHT EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO GET THE PEOPLE FROM YOUR CHURCH TO STAND INFRONT OF 200 EAST TREMONT AVE AND PEACEFULLY DEMONSTRATE AND DON'T FORGET TO CALL "abc-7 ON YOUR SIDE TV CREW)

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
KEEP IN MIND SEPTEMBER 11....WE WERE ALL COLORLESS! AND PEOPLE BLACK, WHITE, JEWS, HISPANIC ETC., WAS ALL PUT AT RISK AND ON THAT DAY I AM SURE ------ DIED FOR WHITES AND WHITES DIED FOR ------! SO PARKCHESTER SOUTH CONDO MANAGEMENT OFFICE STOP TURNING AWAY PEOPLE BASE ON THERE COLOR!!!!!!!!

STOP THE MADNESS!

I have been renting from Parkchester Preservation Management for about 6 years. I am ------- American and I didn't have a problem getting accepted. I got a phone call a week after I applied. I have renewed my lease several times with no issues. But I'm glad that Parkchester is starting to get rid of certain people because it's not like how it used to be and Parkchester has the potential to be great once again.

Parkchester hasn't been like it used to be since the 70's! And it's not entirely the residents' fault either. Take a good, long and hard look at Parkchesters' management. There you will find where the majority of the problem lies.

For you to say that they are increasing the rents so that ------ and --------- can't live there is ridiculous. Are you saying that us ------ and --------- can't make any money ? The race card has been played and its tired already.

I applied for an apartment at Parkchester & they accepted me for a second showing because I earn enough & I have a high credit score.

I opted not to move there because it has "going on the decline" feel to it. My coworker (who lived there for 11 years), my man (who lived there for 9 years), & my hairdresser (a Pelham native) told me not to waste time.

It's a shame because the apartment's are spacious but the area's not that great. I already lived in the hood & I wasn't trying to move into another one.

I am an ------- American woman who has lived in Parkchester all my life and in my own apartment for almost 5 years. I've never had a problem renewing my lease. Parkchester is raising the income requirements because they want to get rid of those who will NOT take care of their community. And that's keeping it real! I heard that they have also stopped taking those on welfare, section 8, what have you for the same reason. I applaud that. It's time to make Parkchester a living community for the working families and middle class Americans, not those who aren't working and have no desire to keep up the community in which they live. Let them go back to the projects.

It's wrong to judge someone for their grammar and spelling(dmny10462)especially when yours is not any better. "Next time you want to right..."-should be "write". Perhaps English is not his first language. What's your excuse?!

arente, I dun guesed i wUz beun too sutil wit makin fun of the pOSter by not spelin only oNE wurd write...Next time i shud be mo cLear in pointin tings out.

Now arente, why don???t you worry about the problems and awful people we have to deal with here in Parkchester instead? People like the poster should be exposed for being ignorant fools who continue to bring this place down. They should be removed from Parkchester for the sake of us all.

I just moved to parkchester in September of '06 and I'm already moving out. It's b/c of management not taking care of their responsibilities, the gang element, the loud teens, and etc. FYI, I'm black and was accepted less than a week of application (so it's not a race thing) it's b/c of my income and credit rating. BTW what's wrong with that.

I've lived in Parkchester for about 6 years now, I'm an ------- American Female, i applied on a monday & was approve on the Wednesday, i like living there I live in the North, 1507 Metropolitan Ave. I've never had a problem with management i receive a renewal every year even tho i dont always pay my rent before the 15th. But i do pay it. There are a few noisey tenants but nothing a phone call cant take care of, my repairs are taken care of in a timely fashion, maintnance keeps the building clean there is your 1 or 2 tenants that dont dispose garbage correctly other than that i would recomend it i feel safe with the private security. And compared to other neighborhoods it is kept clean
