After reading some of the reviews and looking at other apartments in the Bronx, Parkchester has the largest living space for same, if not cheapter, amount of rent. Granted you will see some youth hanging out, however, the security has been beefed up lately.

I have heard the horror stories about the North end. Matter of fact, I hear if you don't live on Union Port, you live in the ghetto.

3 Bedrooms are next to impossible to get. 1 or 2 Bedrooms are almost always available. Parking is a nightmare. Be ready to pay at least $160 monthly to park in a garage. If they have space. Not to mention, you will probably have to walk far to the garage.

"If you dont live on Union Port..." see its silly ass comments/rumors like that they have people deceived and missing out. Go visit for yourself - go to the Oval where my bldg is and see how "ghetto" it is during the winter holidays when you have inflatable Santa claus & deer and x-mas decorations and lights like Rockefeller center or something.

My friend lives on the Oval, it is fine, feels safe...Some people see the way people dress or how they come off and automatically in their mind a place becomes the ghetto, if you feel that way...take my advice and stay out of NYC, go live in some homogeneous bedroom community somewhere else.

I DO NOT LIVE IN UNION PORT,I LIVE METROPOLITAN AVE,NORTH SIDE.I'M NOT GHETTO. MY NEIGHBORS ARE HARD WORKING PEOPLE,WHO ARE NOT GHETTO.NOT EVERYONE IS GHETTO LIKE YOU.I AGREE WITH DG25.

LOL..Did any of you read what I posted? I said I hear..never said it to be valid..yall getting mad cuz it is true? Not that serious..if it is not ghetto where you live so be it. the oval is not bad. They have that diner that keeps getting health fines and closes and reopens...and they decorate the oval every holiday...so what...point is I said what I heard from the office staff..can't say how true it is..just said I heard it.
