There are always gonna be good and bad reviews about Parkchester, no matter what side you reside in (North, South, East West) when it comes down to it we live in a world where "You can't please everyone." We need to look at it openminded. Parkchester is a community of diversity and a population of young, older and oldest and because of this mix, the young likes loud, the older is more neutral and the oldest likes peace and quiet. Maintanance wise, all buildings are not created equal, it could be the population of the building because we all know there are 16 or more story buildings as appose to 7 or less story buildings. The more people, more to deal with and more noise polution as appose to the less populated buildings. Another factor to look at are what type of people live in these buildings, Parkchester accepts Section 8 and Equal Housing Opporunity so we have to put that into consideration the possiblities as well. I find the closer you are to stores and transportation, the more people and attention it attracts so people (especially the young) want to be seen by hanging out there and not too far are the drug dealers who take the opportunity to make there business. But overall, the bottom line is its all about knowing how the economy and how this world works. Parkchester is in fact up and coming because of slow but sure productivity of maintainance and changes to make our community better, these changes cannot reflect every person, every building every side all at once, it will take time to get to everyone so we have to look at the fact that a particular area or unit may have problems because it just hasn't been gotten to yet. People want to complain about Parkchester from yeeeearrrzzzzz ago but what matters now is Parkchester this present time, what is being done and what is to come of Parkchester... I'm a single asian female, came from Queens and had lived there all my life, and now residing in Parkchester, its comfortable, convenient and affordable and I love it here!

Parkchester is slowly up and coming, and that's a good thing, but if the policy says no noise after 10P (and I don't mind having some summer fun)the noise level shouldn't be a 9 out of 1-10. So, what's the solution? Have those "guards" ask the culprits politely to lower their voices or be on their way. I happen to like living in Parkchester, but fair is fair people ought to learn to enjoy some fun, and have consideration so as to create some harmony in the community.
