I moved into Putnam Gardens AKA Putnam Deegan, when it first opened (almost 3 years ago)the apt was too small for the price at the time of $925.00, ghetto neighbors fighting and when they werent fighting the walls so thin you could hear neighbors getting thier grove on at all hours of the night...Kids runing up and down on the elevators as if it were a race, building has NO SUPER, and keeps the building contractor as someone to take care of you but is only interested in what you can do for him...security camera has wires installed but no camera and i am sure (i move a year ago) there is no camera installed...not efficent with repairs, my kitchen sink leaked (suposedly brand new) and my ceiling was falling apart (only after 6 months living in this "new" building...My window cracked and i was told it was the building setting in...my apt was so small it was often confused with a studio, very small for the price you are paying, bathrooms are overly large and bedrooms very small...neighborhood is nice and close to train station, area not well lit at night, oh and try to move to low floor, i was told that rent increased as the floors got higher so the person below me although they had the same exact apartment paid almost 100 bucks less than me and the person below her the same and so on and so forth...My suggestion, its not whats on the outside but whats on the inside that counts and this building is CRAP

I agree with the above ratings. The rent is extremeley high. I paid 1175 for a two bedroom apartment aproximateley 5 years ago which is $1400 at this time. The apartment building has MICE and the extreminator who is supoosed to come monthly is missing in action most of the time. I was one of the first tenants to move into the building. The service is HORRIBLE. If one attempts to call management on Albany Cresecent you will be encountered by nasty receptionists who cannot answer a simple question. In addition to all this maddness, one must pay for HEAT. Yes, heat is not included. Furthermore, the laundry room is constantly has more than one machine out of service. Parking is very expensive and not included within your rent. If you have a decent car, it will be vandalized in the neighborhood. As a matter of fact any car is vandalized. I have an old car which has been vandalized aprox. five times within five years. I must say that the super and his assistant attempt to keep the building clean daily. However, that should not be considered a perk but an expectation for $1400 rent

This is totally not true, but just a case of people never being satisfied!!! 2 Bedrooms in a nice neighborhood for less than $1400? Are you kidding me? Good Luck finding that! By the way - Did you move out yet because I have a friend that is looking for a 2 Bedroom apartment and I want to recommed your apartment to them.

I agree with the original post and the second post as well...this building is given too much credit because it is a new building in a "OLD" building area...I have lived there for 5 years and was also one of the original people to move to the building and yes you can find an apartment in that neighborhood for less than $1400, I am moving out at the end of March to rent an apt in a house on 261st and Riverdale ave for $1275 a month 3 bedroom, call the Albany Crescent for your friend, they are always looking for new people, and I currently pay $1425 so tell her to get ready to pay a hundred or two more than that...GOOD LUCK

WHEN THE STARTING BUILDING THE NEXT BUILDING IN FRONT OF IT ALL OF THE CRITTERS THAT WERE LIVING UNDER THAT SOIL CAME TO THE GROUND ABOVE AND INTO 3815 PUTNAM AVE AS WELL. MY NEIGHBOR'S SON TRIED TO ROB MY APARTMENT ONE DAY NOT KNOWING THAT I WAS AT HOME. WHEN THE POLICE ARRIVED 45 MINUTES LATER WHICH THEY ARE RIGHT ACROSS THE DAmN STREET. THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T ARREST HIM SINCE HE DIDN'T ACTUALLY MAKE IT INTO THE APARTMENT. I INFORMED MANAGEMENT OF THIS AND THEY WOULDN'T MAKE THIS WOMEN AND HER KIDS MOVE SO I MOVED!!!!!!!!!!!!
