Pros

Affordable (compared to the market in NY)
Dishwasher
Eat in Kitchen
Laundry in the building (cheaper than local laundromat with larger machines)
Cheap parking (gated with key, cost added to rent bill)
Lights, gas, water included
Heat and air conditioning you regulate and turn on or off yourself
New elevators that are smooth and quiet
Lovely grounds (upkept by maintenance)
No mounds of trash sitting out on the curb for garbage day
Large rooms with large closets
Wood floors throughout
Big beautiful windows ( if your on the right side you get sunshine all day long!)
Carbon minoxide and smoke detectors
Maintenance is fast to repair whatever you need repairing
Maintencance office where you can get replacement bulbs etc. for the apartment including new keys if you lose yours.
Quiet and peaceful (no loud music, no gunshots)
Shopping nearby
Post office nearby
Programs for children
Bike trail right on the Belt Parkway
Private Security that patrols (quick response if called)
Own powerplant so during blackouts you still have lights!
All windows have blinds, screens to keep out bugs and safety rails for children
Hallway floors are cleaned and polished on a regular basis
U shape drives for every building for loading and unloading off the street
Cable ready (optimum only)
Wild life ( various birds and even rabbits along the Belt Parkway bike trail)
10-15 min from the Airport ( you don't even hear the planes after awhile)
Gym (not sure of the price or how good it is)
No pets allowed but won't say anything if you have cats, fish, birds
No loud music after 10p.m. per lease agreement ( will be enforced my security if you call them and complain

Cons
Some new tenants don't take care of the apartments and buildings
Some new tenants are moving in with dogs
Travel time to Manhattan 1 1/2 hrs maybe less if you get the bus and train right away
Walls are thin so if your neighbors are loud you will hear them, floors are thin too
Only the kitchen and hallway have ceiling lights
No satelite dishes allowed (some tenants have them, but if management sees it they will call you and tell you to remove it)
Occassional muggings ( this was not so years ago)due to management letting in a few bad apples who also have bad apple friends

I have lived here for many years and unfortunately the area is going downhill. The new tenants just don't take the same pride in where they live as the old. If the current tenants don't stay ontop of letting manangment know about problem tenants it will be just like a projects in a few years.

To all new tenanats

Welcome to the neighborhood! Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Please help us keep it clean, quiet, peaceful and safe!

I agree with you 100% however, due to the recent SHOOTING of the young boy, there has been more shootings. Its just a matter of time when innocent tenants become victims - it happens all the time when THEY move in. "they" and you know who you are.

I heard about the young boy getting shot - but I haven't heard of any others! I hope this is just a Rumor!

Well there is good and bad in every "they" group. I blame managment it is there job to screen new tenants and stay on top of evicting and not renewing leases for bad tenants. It seems they didn't care because it WAS going to be sold now that it isn't they are left with SOME problem tenants and they need to take care of that and screen new tenants more carefully. I don't lump all people of a "they" group no matter which "they" your talking about because truth is there is bad to be found in every group.

Does anyone know how section C is ? I was also told that an exterminator need to check your current apartment before moving into spring creek or they wouldn't let you move in. You need to show proof of extermination at your present location. Please help. One more question are all the 2 bedroom all the same size rooms and living room I saw 2 vacancies and they don't look the same size.
