I moved into Country Club Manor right after college and starting my first full-time job. It is a very well-kept community. My tour guide was courteous and knowledgeable, though she doesn't work there anymore. The upstairs units are more expensive, but feature a full wood fireplace. I lived in one of the upstairs units.

Moving in, the first thing I noticed was how much dust was in the carpet. I think the previous tenant didn't vacuum, but maintenance didn't vacuum either when preparing the apartment for my arrival. Everything else was very good, including the fireplace, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and patio. There was a fresh coat of paint on the walls and there weren't any odd smells. The one or two things wrong with the condition of the apartment were taken care of within hours... literally! They have jacks for phone and cable, and allow you to set up service with DirecTV. Verizon DSL and Time Warner are both available for high-speed internet service providers.

When wintertime rolled around, terrible drafts eminated from my bedroom window and the patio sliding door. I had to stuff cloth into the cracks and crevices just to keep the drafts down (I'm not exaggerating, here!). Wintertime snow removal was always superb, though. I never had a problem getting out for work or coming home from work. They seem to be on permanent standby during the winter -- as soon as a row of residents all leave for the day, they clear that row of spaces constantly until the residents come home.

The grounds are pleasant and quiet. I honestly do not know my neighbors; everyone seems to stay inside and away from others in this community. There is a dedicated non-smoking building. If that is something you are looking for in an apartment, be sure to ask for it! I was delighted to hear of it from the landlord.

They made a recent big push to use internet-based payments. In fact, my renewal lease agreement states that internet payments are the only way to pay from now on. If e-payments with a third party are not your thing, or if you must pay by check for a proper paper trail, I would look for another community.

Overall I enjoyed my stay here. For the area and given the price, I do recommend it.
