nice but too expensive for what you get

I have lived at Delaware Park for the past 2 years but I am not renewing my lease...reason' Because my rent has been increased from $700 to &770 in the last 2 years! And that is because I made sure I had my rent in on time every month. If you're on time you get "$50 off", so the actual rent price per month now for a one bedroom is $819! And it is nice that everything but electricity is included...but including electricity that puts me around '0 a month (with the $50 incentive deal). In Buffalo. Plus even though heat is free, you have no thermostat in your own apt. (FYI my 1st floor apt was COLD in the winter). Don't get me wrong, I did love my apartment. All hardwood floors, open, spacious, building covered with ivy...I loved it. And the management was very nice, things got fixed when you asked them to etc. And it was so close to Delaware Park, which I will sorely miss. However, I just can't justify paying that much for what I was getting. I gave security only 2 stars because last month the spare tire was stolen off of the back of my SUV. I have heard from other tenants who have been there longer that in the summers there are rashes of car break-ins and vandalism. There is a security camera, but it doesn't actually record anything, it just plays so you can see on one of the tv channels...not very helpful for finding the culprit... Also my apt faced the street - very noisy. Other tenant noise was not usually a problem for me. One last thing....the apts are old so you have to sign a paper saying you won't sue them over anything to do with lead paint...if you're not planning on eating the paint chips it's probably not that big of a deal, but not a good place for small children anyway...
