The location and moderate price were key in us renting a one bedroom here. The manager at the time and maintenance crew were wonderful. However the manager left and apparantly so has much of the maintenance crew. I think the owner being out of town does not take care of the property very well. Maintenance tried to address problems but very often did not have the supplies to do so. When shown the building we were assured that the common areas were going to be updated, they apparantly have still not been 4 years later. There is, at least as of 2003, a security guard in the lobby all night - so that was good for safety. However I believe the gate to the parking is still broken 4 years later - so no secured parking lot. Also there was a fire in an apartment on the first floor and as of 2003 no audible alarms. I find that unsafe because there are 8 floors of apartments - some people did not leave thebuilding because they never knew there was a fire. Spend a little more go somewhere safer!
