The good, the bad... and the ugly

I have been here for a year now, and have both a good and bad impression. As the other ratings confirm, the apartments are large and the rent is reasonable. The proximity to major routes and downtown is nice. I like the hardwood floors and the large windows.
However, I agree that the maintenance and cleanliness of the place is a nightmare. Maintenance requests are rarely responded to, and the grounds are a total mess most of the time. Common stairways and halls are gross.
Parking is also a nightmare. Hard to find spaces in summer, and if you rent a garage, good luck getting in and out in the winter after they plow. I guess, to their credit, they do plow regularly.
Noise is an issue, as there are lots of college students and rowdy neighbors. Most of the neighbors are friendly and considerate though.
I would have to say that my biggest complaint is the upkeep issue. A little clean-up goes a long way, you know'
I do agree that you get what you pay for, and that is defintiely true here.
