Don't move here! Check out the pics!

I've lived here since 2005. Since most of the reviews for this dump were written before March of 2008, a lot is missing! In March, Home Properties sold this complex to a company based in Oyster Bay. Since then, maintenance has been horrible! The maintenance guys even admit how bad it is. The company that owns this place (Main Street, LLC) has 5 properties over Long Island and 2 (yes, two) maintenance men who drive from one to the other. I know this because the men themselves told me!
I had a one bedroom for 3 years and then moved across the parking lot to a two bedroom with my girlfriend. I moved right as Main Street took over and when we got into the new place, we noticed all the problems. They had the carpets cleaned PRIOR to plastering the walls. I almost broke my vacuum trying to clean the plaster off the carpet. The entire building has "settled" meaning when you walk towards the sides of the apartment, you actually are walking up a small hill. The sliding door barely works and the front door can be broken into very easily (no alarm system). I posted pictures of our "backyard". On a couple separate occasions, they allowed a van to drive on the lawn while it was very wet and he got stuck! These tire prints have now been there since September and I highly doubt they plan on doing anything to fix this. They go around the entire building!
Finally, I went outside around midnight on a Friday night to walk our dog and (I'm not making this up) a car flew in, parked, and a guy got out and ran. Moments later, another car flew in, parked behind the first car, and a guy got out with a baseball bat and start smashing the windows. That was the last straw.
Our year lease is up in March and we'd rather live in the basement of a house than this terrible disaster of an apartment complex.
I could go on, but I'm getting angry just thinking about all of this. There were some positives when Home Properties was the owner, but since March, I can honestly say that there isn't a single positive thing I have to say about this place.
Seriously- don't move here. Do yourself a favor.
