Overpriced ghetto living.

This place is ridiculous. Don't even think of moving here. First off, their prices are outrageous. $1150 for a tiny "renovated" one bedroom. I have a different bathroom mirror (and a smaller fridge, it doesn't even fit the space it's meant for) than my friend who lives here with the SAME EXACT apartment, and he pays $1050. I have no clue what was renovated in my apartment because I have had to have maintenance come to fix virtually everything in my apartment (every pipe under every sink had massive leaks and created water damage, every screen to every window was shredded, closet doors falling off hinges, etc.)

The water is turned off once or twice a month without notice. Now they decided to "renovate" the exterior of completely random apartments (they have been doing the exterior of the apartments across from me for THREE MONTHS now and they still aren't done, those people are STILL without balconies). My friend woke up the other morning to a maintenance man standing on his balcony ripping down siding. He got the notice about it two days later.

They mention "washer and dryer in every building" in their ad. I finally got mine this week. I've been here for six months now.

The heat went out twice a week all winter long. Nothing was done for me after numerous complaints to the office (who act like you're really putting them out when you call.. isn't that their job''), until I finally went above them and complained to the head office. The next day it was fixed. It took a week, in 20 degree weather. They also have a "pledge" that if you're not satisfied with the day, they will take off the rent for the day. IT'S A LIE. I call sitting in a freezing apartment with SNOW BLOWING IN THE CRACKS OF YOUR BALCONY DOOR UNSATISFACTORY, and they never took my rent off, even when I mentioned their pledge.

The grounds are disgusting. Garbage is everywhere. There's no hope of them ever growing grass here because their maintenance men drive their golf carts all over it like they're off-roading; it's completely shredded up (not to mention that when they drive they fly right by you and you literally have to jump out of the way so they don't run you over). The only place there is grass is by the leasing office, the only place you see when you come here inquiring about an apartment. Convenient.

The children here are insane and incredibly loud. They take anything (bricks, siding, etc.) that the maintenance men OFTEN leave around the grounds at the end of the day and beat each other up with it. They have broken all our outside lights TWICE now in six months, leaving us in the dark outside at night in not the safest of neighborhoods. At least once a day I have to scream at the kids to stop throwing things at my kitchen window or balcony (the reason why my apartment had shredded screens and dented window frames in the first place).

Overall, this place is a DUMP. I can't wait until my lease is up.
