The place looks nice from the outside, but thats preaty much it. On the inside the floors under the carpet dont just squeek, they are rotten out and the boards need to be replaced, but no one wants to do anything about it. when walking about it if feels like you will fall through the floor.
If you are having a problem with anything, they do not do a damn thing about it, they tell you we will look into it, but nothing gets done.
No one EVER returns your phone calls, they wait for you to call them.
if something is about to break, instead of replacing it, they use "duck tape" to fix it and just milk it as long as possible. They will tell you they will order a new unit or the parts they need to replace, but the next time somethign happens they just put on more "duck tape".
If maintanence has to do something in your apartment they drag dirt and anything else they can through your place, and never clean up after them selves.
The answering service they hire are a much of a-holes, they are rude and sarcastic, anything you ask them they answer with such an attitude.
Their idea of taking a proactive aproach to "taking care of issues" is puting out a monthly newsletter in which they mention what complains they get and what people shouldnt do.
Parking lot is very poorly lit, and if one of the projection lights goes out, it takes months go get it replaced. Same goes for the lights that are at the front door.
the walls are paper thin, so at times you can hear other peoples conversations, tvs, and especialy arguments.
the funnies thing is what they call "neighbour hood watch". There is a cop that lives in one of the buildings, they give him a discount on rent, and in return he drives through the complex once or twice in the middle of the night...ye i feel very safe...
cars are always being broken into, they just dont publisize it. I found this out when my brother-in-law's car was being broken into just as he was walking out to it. When we approached the staff about it, they said we dont take any responsibility for that so we wont do anything about it, and then they told us there are a few breakins a month.
if it wasnt for me having to find a place in just a few days, i would have never moved in here, and i am moving out at the ned of my lease.
Take an extra day or two and find something else. oh ye and idelwood is owned by the same real estate company that ownes edgebrook, so i dough its any better there.

There are nice families in the area who are renting out of their property. It would almost be a better bet to take a little extra time to find one of those places, or try another complex. But -yes- stay away from Idylwood on French too, same problems there, had a friend there!!
