I have had my ups and downs at Idylwood. Pretty much it is what you make of it. If you use the amenities then you should be happy here. In summer it's beautiful, but of course the pool is only open until 7 or 8 in the evening. There is absolutely no security here. They have (1) undercover Cheektowaga Police Officer, but all he does is warn you about going too fast and through stop signs (which really don't serve much of a purpose). I had my car keyed a couple of months ago and many people have had there windows smashed in (where was the security then). There are numerous tenants who smoke pot in their apartment and because the walls are so thin, you can smell it no matter whick floor you live on. The staff here was good at first (of course they are, because they are trying to sell), but once you are in,they could really care less about you, just your money. With 720 apartments ay an average of $600 a pop, you do the math and tell me why rent goes up every year, I can't figure it out. I don't really have a complaint about maintennance, they have done everything in a timely matter. The staff and security are the issue here, enforce the quiet hours and enforce the common laws of New York State, maybe this would make life a lot more enjoyable here. Be prepared to pay, and pay a lot fo A/C in the summer. Get rid of the scum of the earth here and add some competent security and bring real staff in, and now we're talking. Take a close look if you want in....
