I would rather live on the east side then be put through the -------- I dealt with. Lets start from the beginning. They make you pay a $200 dollar NON-REFUNDABLE deposit just to "hold" the apartment for you. Then they show you a wonderful apartment with clean carpets and great maintenance.
(none of which they give you) They claim your apartment will be just lilke this one. ( I actually believed them) The first second I walked into my apartment I had a problem. Not only did I have a bad parking spot but the whole apartment wreaked like an ashtray full of cigarettes. I DONT EVEN SMOKE!!! This was on a Saturday so of course I had to wait until Monday until I could even talk with the manager. THen I can't get my key in the lock. It took me 5 min. just to unlock the door and pull my key back out. They assured me it was an easy fix with WD-40. TOO bad they didn't have the time or even cared to do it. So with one problem after the other we had the manager- CINDY come in with the head of maintenance. Sure they can take care of the cigarette smell, "just call the office and set up an appointment to have new carpet installed which will take at least 2 visits to do the apartment and you'll have to move all your furniture into other rooms for the carpet guys-but no inconvienance, right' And the windows that you use PVC pipe to lock, we'll replace those but that will also take another day" in which we had to stay home so the window guy wouldn't rob us blind. As for the community washer that doesn't work- don't hold your breath. Our neighbors said they've been waiting for a month! And the dryer doesn't even dry a load, you have to pay for 2 loads just to dry one. So $5 later you might have clean clothes. Ahhh, you can't forget the ammenities right. I mean afterall that is what made us decide to move in. Free breakfaston Thursdays- bagels and cereal, unfortuneatly if you don't get there by 9:30 everything is gone. And dont try to take that half a cup of coffee and bagel on the go. They will literally make you put the stuff back in with the other bagels(that's NASTY). What about the pool thats so cold you dont even want to put your feet in. Or the weight room that smells like a fat guy just died or maybe that's just Cindy trying to lose all that excess baggage. You got to love the "Garden Apartments", huh, thats just a nice name for a place in the basement, where if you open your blinds (that were broke when we moved in) all you see our people starring in your place holding on to their dog thats shitting right next to your window!! Got to love that fresh air. Thats not even the end of it, they hit you up for hidden fees that they forgot to mention like water, in which they said we pay for hot water, that means they pay to heat your water not for the water literally. Oh, lets not forget my cell phone that wouldn't get service in my apartment. To use the phone I had to go out to the parking lot, just to make a call! My storage unit was broken into twice in a matter of one week, and somebody defaced my mailbox. Did I mention the dog ---- in the hallway. I've lived in a lot of apartments and this place was by far the worst. I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. This "resort community" was the biggest joke. I wouldn't even put this much time into warning people if I din't feel that I had been screwed out of so much time and money. RUN FAST AND FAR!! I'M WARNING YOU!
