I lived in the apartment vacated by the resident who had been spreading the peeping tom rumor in 2001. I ascertained from the police department in his county that the peeping tom was indeed incarcerated for similar behavior. The previous tenant stalked me for a few days, so the office staff were extra-nice to me during my stay there. The previous tenant's cats had trashed the carpet. My dog was the first to find out that the carpet was flea-ridden, about a week after we moved in, by which time her skin was devoured. There was the persistent, foul odor of cat urine throughout the bedroom that never left despite my own steam-cleaning, so the carpet was obviously old & filthy. I received my pet deposit back when I left 1 1/2 yrs later, so I suspect the next tenant was greeted by the same odors...
