we moved in the nov. there was no heat in the apartment. it took them about a month to fix it so i had to run the stove to heat the place. the place wasn't cleaned up after painting we had to clean before we moved in also they had left all there stuff from painting in the apartment so i moved it outside so we could move in. it still took them severals days to come and pick it up. i gave them a list of things that needed to be fixed none of it was ever done. we had to move out early from our lease due to a family emergnancy and they would not work with us at all. most other places would work with you especailly if you had a family emergnancy and you needed to move closer to them. they still wanted us to pay for the couple months that we had left on our lease. they told us that they didnt agree with us moving out early. they still today this day (3years later) are still harassing us threw the mail. i had a friend that live there before and they got charge for stains on the carpet that were already there. they went through the apartment with a black light. they told them that it was from there pet which they never had. this place is a joke and always will be.

You never get out of leases. What are you an idiot? Family emergency, death, laid off. You do not get out of leases. Why the heck do you think you are signing a contract? You sound like a real numb nut. Get a clue about the way it works. Maybe the time you spent writting your dumb complaint you should of looked up Capitalization for Dummies.

Actually you can get out of a lease. People should familiarize themselves with the Renter's Bill of Rights. Furthermore, by law every lease is subject to a covenant of quiet enjoyment. If the apartment is unlivable (i.e. no heat for a month) you can break the lease. A big problem is terms which limit your ability to sue. These will be legal or illegal depending on the state you live in. However, if the Landlord breaches your lease agreement first then you are not in default by terminating it. Landlord's breach by not living up to the terms of the lease and by failing to provide items that were material to your signing the lease. So if you rented b/c they had central air and then it never was working despite numerous requests.... you could easily show a breach. Leases are intended to bind the parties to specific promises and conduct... sounds to me as though the landlord is not living up to his obligations therefore the lease is voidable.

in respone to spentrent your the F**ken idiot maybe you need to look up Capitalization for Dummies. i've seen plenty of people that needed to break they're lease for emergency and they had no problem at all. also you shouldn't go around calling other people idiot cause it just make you look like and idiot yourself. i think you need to go back to school and learn your manners all over again.
