My boyfriend and I recently left FoxRun as we bought a house. We had moved in quickly as we moved due to job relocation from western NY. I think FoxRun has some good and bad points.
It started off poorly and I should have known... on our moving in day the office was supposed to be open at 830 to let us in to pick up keys as we were coming from 300 miles away with our moving trucks meeting us there. We even called the night before to confirm everything, and no one showed up at the office until 930. We had to pay our movers extra to wait around. When we asked what happened she said she had arrived at 830 and we werent there, which was a lie as we parked across from the office and watched her pull in! And when we tried to be nice and understanding that people run late the woman told us it was a saturday what did we expect' and she got herself a cup of coffee and made a phone call before giving us our keys!
While the apartment itself was in fair condition, I have some complaints with not exactly the staff but some of the decisions made. People are allowed to have bigger dogs, which was a reason we chose it. The problem is, no one cleans up after those dogs. And they walk them into other apartment "lawn" areas so they do not leave the prizes on their own walkways. Also, people on 1st floor apartments tie their dogs out which they are not supposed to, so if you come around a corner with your dog you are greeted by an unattended one.
Parking was a huge issue in my building's lot. I hear some lots are better than others. If I came home after 6, I was parking at the other end of my lot if I was lucky, usually stuck parking in the overflow lot. On the weekends, forget about it. Everyone had friends or family or whatever staying over, no one had parking permits, out of state vehicles, one in particular, an Escalade with Vermont plates who came in every weekend and parked so awkwardly he took up 2 spots. "Spots" is used lightly, as there are no lines to follow so if one person parks off a bit, it throws off the whole lot and cuts down spaces especially in the winter.
I find the gym and sauna to be not what you think you are paying for. The sauna was closed all winter when it would be prime time to use it. The gym equipment was frequently broken, the room a mess. On several occasions there were staff's children playing on the equipment when I was trying to work out.
Also again my complaint deals with my particular building and neighbors- lots of domestic issues- fighting, doors slamming, etc. Also the downstairs teenage boy and his buddies hung out on our steps every evening, teased my dog, and were up all hours of the night in the summer yelling and swearing.
The staff was very unhelpful when we were trying to move out, we had a middle of the month lease so we were trying to get the prorated amount so we paid correctly and first no one called us back, we went to the office, the computer was down so she manually did the calculations, gave us an amount. When we went to drop it off they told us we owed more. WE paid, then attempted to set up a move out inspectoin. They told us to call after we were out which was the 13th. We were out early so we Tried calling the 11,12,13th, no calls back. When i finally got someone on 10/16 they told me they did the inspection already- without us!! cant wait to see what they try to make us pay for. 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn

That's not good... I made sure I was there for the inspection and got everything in writing just in case. We were told that they had to charge us for something even though we busted our butts to clean the place in better condition when we moved in. Go figure... anyway good luck to you!
