Looks can be deceiving...

I have to start by saying some pet owning tenants that reside at Fox Run are just simply lazy scumbags. I cannot walk to the dumpster with my garbage without looking down to avoid stepping in dog ---- that they could not seem to pick up on their own. Also the stairs leading up to the apartments are wood with a rubber covering on them which make them extremely dangerous to walk up in the winter/icey conditions especially with a baby in hand!! They need to be salted properly. The apartments contains only a deadlock on the front door which needs to be locked from the outside every time you need/want to go out which is becoming pain in the ass as well. The walls are indeed paper thin, almost feels like you reside in a giant cardboard box with white walls. Also when I looked at the apartment I was told the closet outside was storage for whatever fit which is one of the reasons why I chose the place, but when you get lectured by the heating guy that stuff does not belong in there, that kind of pissed me off and made me think I was wrong for putting anything in there. Dont mislead people when showing apartments, if items do not belong in the closet outside then be clear during the showing. Also new windows and sliding glass doors are great, but when they all sweat like a ice cold soda can, it becomes an health issue when black mold begins to form. Hot air should be keeping that condensation dry. I am guessing this is from poorly installed windows, or something adding condensation to the air. Also the apartments are rather drafty, it can be on 70 and you still need to be bundled up...with brand new windows and doors it should be holding its heat a little bit more dont you think'' I could keep going. Treatment there is good, management is helpful and address the issues, it more so a pain in the ass and an inconvenience to have these issues in the first place...This is a business running in a severely tough economy, a suggestion would be to improve the amount of complaints that come in, and fix obvious and needed issue thoughout all apartments. I am simply disappointed. I am not the type of person to tell people not to move to Fox Run, every has their own decisions to make, but I am entitled to voice my opinion about my experience in which I did. Thank You.

I agree with you 100%! Nothing makes me angrier than seeing the insane amount of dog crap ALL OVER THE GROUNDS! Seriously, if you want to own a dog in a complex you need to be responsible enough to clean up after it! I feel good about myself when I climb into a snowbank and scoop up whatever falls out of my dog... and I loathe the people who can't bring a plastic bag on their walk, and pick up a piece of crap on some ice. STOP BEING SO DAMN LAZY! Another thing, if you're leaving dog crap in the middle of the grass, snow, road, ice whatever, dogs can get sick from this! I can guarantee, not everyone's dog is vaccinated like they should be and could be carrying giardia, or ringworm... all stuff that can be transmitted through feces.... it's just common sense to pick up after your dog in a public place. If this is you, you're going to ruin it for the rest of us who can't afford a home, but want to have our dog living with us.
The mold thing? We're pretty clean people, and we keep our apartment nice, but there has been a ton of black mold above our shower for no reason. I reccommend Tilex.
Fox Run is not a horrible place to live, but people need to be curteous of each other. Thats what it all boils down to.

I think you are all nuts. In an apartment complex that allows dogs there will be dog poo. It happens. People forget their dog doo bags, sometimes the dog goes twice and some people are just lazy you will find that everywhere in the world. Also, living in an apartment complex and thin walls go hand in hand. No organization is going to provide renters with fireproof/soundproof walls unless you are buying. So renters get over it. It just sounds like you nuts are focused on stupid things. If there is no danger or crime at Fox Run then shut up. If you are just going to complain about obvious common issues that would be at any dog friendly apartment complex you are just a goof with no life. I doubt you would know how to be thankful for new windows. No one owes you top of line windows. You will always pay a bit more for your location (C.P) and for being able to have a dog. If you don't like the rent prices then move or maybe you should of thought about that before moving in. Poor communication regarding storage is another dumb reason to complain. They will let you put stuff in the area but want you to move it in the event maintenance needs to get in there..Uhduh...Nuff said. But you dingbats need to complain about that too. Washers break and parking is what it is. You are not plagued by crime, you have a respectful address, there are no rodents or roaches and those are the topics to give a place a bad rating. So get overself, your just a renter in a complex with dumb issues..You remind me of bitty co-workers complaining the water in the breakroom isn't cold enough. Christ, you probably are!

While I agree that often people complain about dumb things, this last response just screams shill to me. Office manager venting by proxy of internet anonymity?

This is not a fault of the complex, since the wooded setting is beautiful, but it's not the healthiest environment for dogs. All those leaves make for a huge tick population, and a local vet said that about 25% of the ticks he'd recently seen on dogs were infected with Lyme disease.
