PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE. You'll make a huge mistake if you do

This place has been the WORST place I have ever lived. The management is lazy, the maintenance workers are complete idiots and they have horrible attitudes and for the price you pay at Parkwood, you can get something twice as nice somewhere else. My biggest problem has been the lack of response with management on key critical issues such as NOISE in the dwellings (they basically tell me to go screw myself), quality of necessary utilities such as water (they've turned the water off almost every single day for an hour each time last week and the week before). With the noise, it got so bad and it got to the point where management would not do anything to help us out that we moved from the back of the building to the front on the bottom floor. The front on the bottom floor looked great but we had the same problems (with the water, lack of maintenance, etc.). Plus, we just had some new people move in up above us and they sound like they're 400 pounds! The complex is an awful place to live. I started paying $825 per month for a place that was 1025 square feet and my "upgrade" is 1060 square feet. They added the months I had left from my old lease (about 3 months) onto my new lease for a total of 15 months now AND they charged me a reletting fee of $250! How does that make any sense'! This place has been a nightmare in the winter months because the lazy maintenance workers don't salt the ground and I fell twice this morning alone. DO NOT MOVE HERE. BE WARNED. You will make a huge mistake by moving here.
You can have pets too but you have to pay a $200 fee for each pet up front (which is no big deal because the people across from us have 5 animals and I highly doubt they paid $1000 in total for all their pets. Everyone in the staff has a serious attitude problem and you never really get your problems solved. I called the police in response to the noise problem and that hasn't done anything other than costing me some cash in taxes. The people still stomp across the floor while management sits back and collects my money while giving me the LOWEST standard of service.
The washers and dryers that they provide in the middle of the complex are terrible (you often have to add clothes to dry multiple times to accomplish anything and the washers are god awful, they can't clean for anything).
To boot, they upped my rent from 825 to 985 per month just because they installed some new cheap cabinets in the apartment (while everything else is substandard quality). I'm going to get out of here soon because I can't take being screwed for $12000 per year for crap apartments.
***EDIT*** Management however DID help us in moving the noisy tenants to another dwelling at their cost. They have helped us in that respect.
However, now, we have some serious health issues... my fiance and I have been having some serious breathing problems (which is pretty scary to me since I jog 5 miles a day). My fiance has also been having migraines every day for hours. I have a feeling there has been some serious issues with neglect in the dwelling. I'll be going to the doctor soon to diagnose the problem and to find out what's wrong with us as I have a serious feeling it's due to either mold or something else apparent in the dwelling. ****EDIT****

Sounds like you and your fiance make a nice couple. Both of you are sick. Why would you move from one apartment to the next if you felt so strongly about the management? And oh and by the way, why would you move from upstairs to downstairs if your ears are so sensitive to noise? Sounds like you need to be out in the woods far from life itself. My experience was nothing like yours. Take a good look at yourself.

I lived there for 2 years. Maintenance SUCKS!!!! Just problems all the way around. How ever I did keep my apartment in the best of condition left on good terms. which I thought. Now I'm being sued for $1900 in damages. BULL SH$T!!!!!!!!!!! Good thing I have pics and video tape to prove it. See you in court -------s.
I also developed breathing and other kinds of problem and have documentation to prove it since I moved into Parkwood. I would be willing to catch up with anyone else that share these problems and bring it to the next level.
I will check this site from time to time and see if there is any updates on this matter,

hmm the third comment down.. maybe you're an -------?or maybe you're a pissed off employee of this particular grounds... maybe they moved downstairs because they didnt think the noise would be so bad.. not everyone is a noisey prick. ive lived under people before and couldnt hear a thing. some people are ridiculously rude and do not respect other people. maybe they also didnt expect the maintenance to rip them off and steal money from them...

Yeah, we 100% agree! We moved into Parkwood Village with our kids in 2006 and moved out within 4 months due to the bugs, horribly outdated kitchen, and no amenities. BUT the worst part about this complex is the fact that the employees (mostly maintenance people)are TOTALLY untrustworthy. Why you ask? Because we were ROBBED during our move from the apartment to our house and the police confirmed it was an inside job with no forced entry!!!!! We lost thousands of dollars in stuff including jewelery my Dad had given me from my mother who recently died! The management took no responsibility and the only relief was renters insurance. Good luck keeping your valuables if your crazy enough to move there.

I happen to like it here. Th management has been nothing but kind to us. I guess you get more from sugar than you do with vinegar. If the 5 mile a day jogger doesn't like it here then why doesn't he just leave? Perhaps he has mold because he puts his wet sneakers in the closet! And why would one move down stairs to get away from noise, isn't that where there would be more noise, perhaps he should just buy a house, oh maybe he can't afford one or perhaps his mother in law shoud co-sign for him.

that last review, (i know its the office because only the office knows facts like that), was nothing but rude, maybe we should turn you in for disclosing personal information since it's illegal, and maybe turning you in for that threatening phone call lori crisafulli gave us a couple of months ago telling us that she was not going to renew our lease at the end of the year because we actually speak up when something is wrong

its pretty low that the office would write false reviews to get people to move to parkwood village! you ask why the 5 mile runner doesnt just leave? because mrs. crisafulli REFUSES to let anyone out of their lease! i'm pretty sure if she had to live in our moldy apt that is also full of mice she would not be so rude! i only hope that this place shuts down soon and that all the greedy, lazy people at parkwood lose their jobs! this place is a nightmare!

Where would u suggest living then? I keep reading to pick someplace else and that theres better places in CP out there but WHERE? The reviews for all the other places in CP say the same exact thing about their places..so i guess theres no where good to live then.
