quiet, wooded and tucked away, very convenient

There are pet designated buildings that allow the larger breed dogs. Owners seem to be responsible too. The new buildings don't allow pets but they have cathedral ceilings and washer/dryer connections and large master bedroom. We have walk-in closets in both bedrooms. The kitchen is modern and there's storage space off the balcony. I have customized a few things (brass switch plates, borders, dimmers, etc.) and that makes it even more appealing as "my" home.
Since the owner/manager also owns Twin Lakes across the street we also use the pool and fitness center there. They've had pool parties and events for the children too.
I like the location - it's convenient to the interstate but there are woods with rabbits and birds everywhere.
My utilities are VERY reasonable (gas heat).
I know it's hard to please hundreds of residents at one time, but the maintenance guys give it their all.
There are very few "issues" - nobody likes a rent increase no matter what the amount is, the best parking place isn't available EVERY time I pull in, the town water main flushing a semi-annual necessary evil (really not so bad), but these things are tolerable in exchange for the water/sewer, garbage, lawn/snow maintenance, repairs, school and property tax "issues" I'd face otherwise.
My neighbors are friendly and considerate. I have forged friendships that exist beyond the inevitable moves that have happened over the years.
For my active lifestyle, this is a great apartment and community.
