It has its ups and downs

I moved in in September. Unfortunatly due to lack of credit, we had to pay double security deposit (which is one months rent.) But hey, thats our own fault for being young and not having ample amounts of credit. Our move in day was scheduled for Sept 15 and we moved in on that same day, you do have to give them that months rent right then and there, but its usually pro-rated so not that big of a deal. Rent doesnt include utilites, but it does include trash pickup and basic water, along with all of the ammentities of Twin Lakes, like their gym and pool, which is really nice. We moved in and the washer and dryer wasnt there as scheduled, we did receive it a week later. Apartment was extremely clean and well maintained on move in day. Flaws here and there, but nothings perfect. Because Clifton Park has hard water, thats what leads to the plumbing issues that people relate to. Calcium builds up, its nothing to freak out about, theres plenty of remidies at your local stores. The hot water heaters tend to get the calcium build up and make a tink-ing noise, we were concerned at first but thats all it is. Because the heat runs off of the hot water heater, you do hear a lot of noises coming from the laundry closet, which can be kind of a pain at times, but you get used to it. Apartment is generally quiet, you do hear people walking above you, in our case they like to vaccume every hour of the day. Parking is convenient, havent gone one night without a spot, and not to mention theres about 5 more left over. Very quiet setting, Sitterly road is a little dangerous being that the Squire Park Enterance is considered a hidden driveway, but you just have to learn to wing it. Everything is within 5 minutes of you, the northway (I87) Target, WalMart, Gas Stations, Mall, Hannaford, Price Chopper, PLENTY of restaurants, schools. It's perfectly located in the heart of a great city. As far as bills go, we have a one bedroom apartment, two people. We constantly run the dishwasher but its convenient because it has a water saver option. We leave our thermostat at 70 (its gas heat) and its the perfect temperature, which was a worry to me seeing as I am always cold. Our average gas bill is about 20-30 dollars, so is our electricity. And like I said, we use it ALL the time. The maintenance staff is fairly quick, if its an emergency you can give it like 10 minutes or less and they're there. They just have a lack of communication with one another so you get a lot of different opinions as to whats wrong. Staff in the office, they're either really nice or not so nice. But its more like if you stay nice and sweet to them, they do the same to you, but as soon as you make any sort of negative remark, you get the attitude. Everyone gets their own outside storage, which is actually a huge help. The balconys/patios are in good shape, pretty large too, its so nice to sit out there in the summer or at all really. Overall I've got to say, for 678 a months rent and the convenience of its location, not to mention the well upkeep of the apartment, its truely a great little place to live. In addition, you can have pets, for a price of course, but still thats a huge advantage for us dog lovers. Id recommend it to anyone really.
