My boyfriend and I moved into Southview late August of 2008. The first week we lived here (while still unpacking) we were 2 seconds away from plugging our TV into the outlet of our spare bedroom and were stopped abruptly at the sight of a dead rodent stuck inside it. At that point we should have ran and never looked back because ever since then (today being March 17th) we have caught 8 mice--two the first month and 6 the past two weeks. The mice come in through the crack in between the foundation and the walls...(yeah, it is a very poorly built building). Two days ago while doing my morning rounds around the perimeter of the apartment looking for rodent life did I find once again in my spare bedroom a mouse had made its way in from outside. There was installation and sheet rock all over the floor and all over the trap. Disgusting. Aside from that, living downstairs has been very uncomfortable because you can hear everything from upstairs. The walls are paper thin. One of my neighbors insists on blaring his headbanger music and screaming/beating up his girlfriend and that's also very pleasant to listen to on a Sunday afternoon while trying to relax. And if you do want to complain about your noisy neighbor do not expect to get the response you are looking for from the people that run this dump. They will tell you to simply write a complaint on the website and they will get to it when they feel like it. Or if you call the cops about the guy who blares his music all day everyday/throws his girlfriend around his apartment-don't expect anything from them either seeing as how there isn't even a noise ordinance in the town of Halfmoon. The people in the rental office simply do not care about anything. Once they get you to sign a lease its every man for themselves. PLEASE do not make the mistake of moving here. Yes, the floor plans are nice and its fairly new but take my advice and keep looking! For the amount of money you are paying you can live almost anywhere else without the headaches. ALSO- my sister lived in Squire Park (owned by Solomon) and she also had problems with mice and noise didn't receive any help from the incompetent women working in the rental office. (And also keep in mind, my sister and I are very clean people!!**) With all of this in mind I will say DO NOT LIVE HERE! JUST DON'T.

It sound like most of us have the same complaints (mice, loud noise, crappy apartment.) Hopefully people will listen and not rent from these jerks!
