I have lived at Lancer Ct for four years. When I moved in the management was very friendly and on the ball. The manager new all the tenants names, their kids names, and even their pets names.
Now we have management that actually ran a trailor park and have no idea what they are doing. They rent out apartments to young, partying kids who like to be noisy every night until 3am. The grounds were beautiful when I first moved in here. Now it is weeds and dog poop everywhere.
The snow removal is deplorable. Ice everywhere, snow removal from the sidewalks does not begin until 9:30am. Most people have left for work by 7:30am.
Lancer Ct claims they have air conditioning, but what they do not tell you in their brochures is that 95% of the air conditioners do not work.
The pool is suppose to open and ready to go by Memorial day. Here it is June 15,2004 and it still not opened. The management did not bother to drain the pool and over the winter the frozen water cracked the pool wall.
Washers and dryers do not work and they are way to small. The washing machine fills half way, We have to fill the washer with water from the faucet. Dryer costs $3.00 to $4.00 to dry one load that consists of 4-5 items.
The mold in the bathrooms,thought it was just mine until I saw the same thing in someone elses apartment. The MOLD, the MOLD!! When the cieling paint peels away from the moisture in the bathroom there is mold underneath it. Yuk!
The squeaky floors, no matter how softly you try to walk the floors squeak terribly.
The hallways use to get cleaned every spring and fall. This consisted of taking down lite fixtures and cleaning them. Cleanig the walls, windows, rugs,floor, railings, and basement. Smelled great!! Not anymore,I vacume the rug. The hallway floor and basement has not been cleaned for two years. Management rented out one of the apartments in the building with a filthy front door to kids who just don't care.
It sad really. What use to be a great place to live is now a dump.
There are still some great people that live here, but they are few and far between.
Realstar Inc is the owner of the property and is located in Canada. They are not here to see what goes on.
Perhaps one day Lancer Court will be run by people that can realize its potential.
