Love this place

I wanted to write a review because I read the reviews before moving here and they were mixed, so I wasn't sure what to think. I've now lived here for 8 months and I recommend it wholeheartedly. My roommate and I rent a downstairs 2 br for $799. Our apartment (not all are the same, you have a choice depending on what is available) has electric heat and hot water. In the winter our electric bills were higher because the heat is electric. Now that it's summer, our electric bills are lower (the most recent one was something like $73). Cable and internet are included in the rent, which is a big plus, not many places offer this. Any maintenance issues we've had have been resolved IMMEDIATELY upon our request (leaky toilet, ants). The maintenance staff is great- very friendly and efficient, and available 24/7 via a phone call. The on-site office staff are also great. The grounds and pool are well kept and parking is ample. I NEVER have to park more than one lot away from my building. Additionally, in the winter (it snows a lot here!) they plow the lots often. The apartment itself is very nice as well- lots of closet space, nice kitchen cabinets/counters, and our apartment's carpet was brand new when we moved in. Neighbors are mixed, as in most places (some friendly, some keep to themselves, some noisy, most quiet, some young, some old, some singles/young couples, some families, etc- a nice mix!) Cats are allowed (no dogs) for a monthly fee of something like $20. The surrounding area has everything you need- grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, highways, doctors' offices, town parks, funplex (mini golf, bumper boats, etc), post office, etc. Nice, safe area. It takes my roommate about 15-20 minutes to drive to work (at SUNY Albany) and it takes me about 15-20 as well to get to Troy. Oh, here's a complaint- the driers in our building are inefficient. Many times my large loads are not even close to dry and I have to put in more and more coins to dry them fully (I usually just put a portion of the load on a clothes drying rack in my apartment to save the money and hassle).

I recommend this complex highly. The only reason we may not renew our lease is that we may move into Albany to be within walking distance of more things (night life, etc) and to be closer to our jobs.

I hope this review is helpful!
