Beware of La Bonne Vie!

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004
We moved in recently and hope we can last for the remainder of the lease.
First of all, Marilyn was very nice to us in the process of getting the apartment. The other women in the office are rude, and stupid. I had to explain to the manager basic addition over and over to show that my deposit did add up to 3 months rent plus an early move in fee. She even used an adding machine! I thought office workers would be skilled in basic addition since they deal with rent and deposits all the time.
I had a request once that, if granted, would have made someone remain in the office an extra 15 minutes after they closed. Of course they refused. I don't know if it's the area (people are horribly rude), or if it's just the office workers, but they have a horrible me-first attitude. Our rent comes to something like $13,000 a year and they cannot stay an extra 15 minutes'''
Also, the cat problem is real. For an animal lover like me, it kills me to see all these poor hungry cats running around. The office says not to feed them, but won't do anything about it. They need to have a Trap Neuter Release program for the long term.
Upon move-in, we found several problems with the apartment which will need to be documented. They said there was one stain on the floor and we found at least 10. Are they trying to hide these so we can pay for them when we move out' I assume the last tenants paid for them-but they're not cleaned!
Also, the bathroom looks disgusting. Of course they would not allow us to see the actualy apartment before we signed the lease. They said we were able to see the model (it was nice). Tiles falling down, no room for towels, chips coming off the the tub (Ive never had a tub with chips coming off!).
Most of the neighbors have been very friendly. Many have introduced themselves. Our courtyard seems very safe. People sleep with their windows open at night and come and go without seeming scared of break-ins.
Overall, it's an okay apartment since we had little time to find a place. If we had more time, we probably would not have moved in.
